About Us

The Glenview Square Dance Club was organized in 1950 in Glenview, Illinois.  The club promotes square dancing by sponsoring lessons and dances. Our members come from all around the northern Chicagoland area. We welcome all who wish to learn square dancing and all dancers, new or seasoned, from near or far.

The club normally dances the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month, from September thru May, with dances beginning at 7:30 pm..  We offer Social Square Dance (50 calls) and Plus (100 calls) segments throughout the evening.  See our CALENDAR pages for detailed information about all Glenview Square Dance Club events.

In addition to our dances, Glenview Squares offers Beginners and Intermediate square dance lessons. Click on the LESSONS and FAQ tab for more information about learning to square dance.

Club members enjoy demonstrating Square Dancing throughout the community. CONTACT US for information about scheduling a demonstration for your group.

Recently Glenview Squares has established a Grant Fund to be able to offer financial assistance to members and prospective members who can benefit from help with square dance related costs such as for lessons, caller development, club membership dues, and special dances. Click here for details.

We are a member of the MCASD (Metropolitan Chicago Association of Square Dancers) and actively participate in the “banner stealing and retrieving” program sponsored by that organization. Local clubs - come get our banner!

The members of the Glenview Square Dance Club look forward to dancing with YOU!
